As my fellow classmates and I have been reading and learning about a few of them I wanted to ask you a few questions. What type of system of "rules" or expectations do you have? What do you see works best? Do you use rewards and consequences? If so, what kind? I can think of a ton of rewards to give the students but I am struggling with what types of consequences I can give. I understand that some can be more severe than others but I want to understand what is tooooo severe vs. what is an everyday consequence of not sitting correctly at the rug, or what if you don't bring in your homework? I would do what is the best fit for you as a teacher there is not one rule or strategy to solve issues. I was a big believer in snacks/candies reward because it is cheap and all kids love them but then I had my son and thought I don't want my son eating processed foods etc. I want to be able to give a reward that students can enjoy. You can try the sticker system on elementary-aged students or 1 free h.w pass for the older students.
