  Case: Pencil Chewer
In one of the classrooms I've observed, there is a student who chews the eraser to his pencil. Not only is this a distraction to the other students, but also poses a small threat to the students overall health. The teacher has told the student several times to refrain from doing this, but he continues to. I'm assuming this is a fidgeting tactic the student possesses. Any suggestions on how to terminate or lessen this behavior?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Replace the pencil with a pen every time they start to chew on it.

Comments: Pen would be worse, biting into a pen and making ink go everywhere will just cause more problems. Also in my opinion no student in elementary school should have a pen

Comments: This does not acknowledge the real issue at hand which is probably related to anxiety. It also puts the students in further danger, as they can chew on a pen and ingest ink.

Comments: I'm sorry but I do not think changing one object with the other helps the situation, you are not helping the child at all.
