These students are continuing to fall further behind in all subjects because of this reading deficiency. When they are given verbal instruction or have the tests read to them, they are able to pass. But, when they are not read to, they fail. Due to the fact that they do not have an IEP or 504 plan, reading the test to them is not an ongoing option. Any suggestion? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Contact the parents of the students and inform them of the situation. Let them know that the students need more practice reading at home and assign some work that will help them.
