She actively participates with the class and constantly works well within groups. However, when any homework is given, it never returns completed. Its blank and incomplete. When asked, she always says she forgets, even though I've given several reminders within her agenda and work book. How can I encourage her to do her work outside of the class? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) This could be an at-home issue that needs to be looked into further. Do you have a social worker who would be able to do a home visit? Is her agenda/binder getting checked and signed off on weekly or daily? Have you reached out to the parents or sent a group texts to all families announcing the homework? Do you grade the homework and hand it back? Do you guys go over it in class? She may just think its busy work, which if you make it seem that way - who would want to do it!?
