The student's admiration for his peers envying him/her is always the reason behind the defiance of the "No toys allowed from home" rule. How should this be handled? Confiscate? Call Parent? or have the student put it into their backpack? Remember, not to forget the rule violation. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I believe that taking the toy away and handing it back to the student at the end of the day to take it home, and leave it at home, will get the point across to the student that they are not allowed to bring toys from home. Allowing them to discuss with the rest of the classroom that they have the new toy, during a down time, would allow the student to show off their new toy without actually showing it off.
