Case: Takes notes on I-Pad
I have a strict no-technology during instruction policy. Two students are taking notes on I-Pads and clearly are using them for more than just note-taking. Am I being too strict? If not, how should I approach this situation?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I do not think that you are being too strict at all. If you can tell they are not using their I-pads just for note taking, then they are more than likely a distraction to the rest of the class. You can approach them with a certain set of rules they have to follow if they want to take notes on their I-Pads. You can ask them to keep their devices face down o the table, keep the volume off, and to have them sitting facing you so they can't hide anything with their back turned. |
