  Case: Shouting Out
I have a couple of students that cannot get into the habit of raising their hands. I am constantly reminding them not to shout out.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Ignore responses that are shouted out. They will get the point when they are not acknowledged. They may be upset at first but if they want to participate then they must behave in the way that has been shown to them by example.

Comments: I think that in certain areas, this will work for some students. But overall, students who are calling out will not respond well to being ignored. It may cause the students to call out and cause a bigger commotion in the classroom.

Comments: This is not effective as it is never okay to ignore a student. It reduces their motivation and leads to a downfall in academic prowess.
