Is there strategies to make sure that the parent knows that the student might need help in areas so they should try and support them whenever they can? Sometimes I can see parents not really caring about the students education especially in later levels but maybe not early levels. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think you reaching out to the parent to say "hey I notice your child is really trying to improve in a certain subject but they are also struggling a lot, do you think this is something we can work together on to help them improve?" If you reaching out directly to the parent doesn't help then I would suggest encouraging the student to talk to their parent about where they are struggling.
