The student's admiration for his peers envying him/her is always the reason behind the defiance of the "No toys allowed from home" rule. How should this be handled? Confiscate? Call Parent? or have the student put it into their backpack? Remember, not to forget the rule violation. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think a good classroom rule should be no toys allowed unless at recess. If a student brings a toy from home and brings it into the classroom, give them a warning and have them put it in their backpack. If the issue continues, confiscate the toy until the end of the day. If at recess it becomes a problem, confiscate the toy until the end of the day and then have a talk with the student or with the class to remind them of the expectations during school and of bringing items from home.
