Case: Encouraging Parents to work with students at home
I work with ESE students and some struggle with focusing in class. I have sent home monthly homework sheets for my students and have even gone as far as to reach out to parents about how they can work with their child at home. Unfortunately, a lot of parents do not bother with homework with their child or extra worksheets that are sent home. Any tips and suggestions?

Everything was done correctly, sending home homework sheets is a good start but to go even further I would schedule a parent teacher conference to see why they aren't working with their child at home. I would also remind them of the importance and benefits of continuing the child's learning outside the classroom. |

| Comments: I have to agree with this statement as there is not much else a teacher can do outside of simple reminding parents of the importance of studying with their children. However it is ultimately their own choose and teachers cannot intrude further into the lives of their students and parents like that. |
