Most of the time there are no behavior problems in the class. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) It doesn't sound like anything needs to change, since there are no behavior issues. Giving students some freedom can be a good thing. Them seeing that they are respected with their seating decisions likely will le them be more respectful to you. If any issues do arise, it would be good to make students aware that they will be assigned seats if they are not respectful.
