There is little to no improvement even with the teacher stopping and going over what the rules are and what they should be doing. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I am wondering what the seating arrangement in this class is. Is it tables, groups, or columns? The way the classroom is organized might be communicating something different than what the teacher intends. Switching the seating may be a relatively easy way to communicate the fact that this work is to be done independently.
