Case: Takes notes on I-Pad
I have a strict no-technology during instruction policy. Two students are taking notes on I-Pads and clearly are using them for more than just note-taking. Am I being too strict? If not, how should I approach this situation?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I like using an iPad for taking notes with an Apple Pencil because it's easier to carry around than a lot of notebooks and I can easily erase something if I mess up. However, as others have said, it's easy to know when a kid is using the iPad for notes or if they are just browsing. I would just monitor the situation and give them a warning and if they don't correct their behavior, but let them know that if it happens again, they will not continue to have that freedom. |
