Case: Offered a Job During Observation Hours
I just finished my observation hours required in a class of mine. The principal of the school I was observing told me that there is an opening waiting for me. I was very happy to hear that but I want to know If I should still explore options or if the career is so in demand that I should take what I was offered.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I think this career is in great demand but that should give you the confidence to find the right pick. You should assess if that is a job that would fit well with your lifestyle (proximity, culture of the teachers, parent involvement-whatever is most important to you). If it doesn't feel right, then go with your gut. There is always a job out there and the right one will find you, just let the principal know that you are flattered and would absolutely consider it. The principal will understand that you need to take time to make such a huge decision because you want to make the right one. |
