The other teacher in the room with me moved the other students aside and then pulled the two students into the hallway to discuss with them the matter privately while I watched the rest of the class. The two boys were separated for the remainder of the period and administration was called. I asked my teacher why and she didn't call and she said she handled it and there wasn't any need to get admin involved. What could have been done differently? Why didn't my teacher report the alteration to administration? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think based on this context, it would come down to if this is a recurring thing between these students or one of the students. Generally, I would say admin would get involved if a behavior becomes a pattern and the teacher can't handle it herself.
