While is was in my ESOL practicum I ran across students that the teacher said knew how to use the resources she offered in her class, like the translation dictionary, and vocabulary journals, but they had no idea. I did not realize this till I was trying to teach a lesson that involved both. I stopped my lesson and began to go over how to use both resources. Should I let the teacher know? I would just mentioned how they were getting confused or ask if they could reintroduce the materials again to the students.
