What is the best way to handle this? Do you bring it up to the parents? Do you let the child sleep? Is it fair to the other students to let the child sleep? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would ask the student why they are so tired? Are they getting enough sleep? If you don't get any answers or satisfactory answers, then maybe it is time to contact the parent. I do not think letting the student sleep in class is beneficial to them or to you, as the teacher. You are not helping the student by allowing them to miss out on learning.
