Throughout my observations in classrooms, I have noticed that many teachers create their classroom rules with students during the first week of school. The teacher will display a big sheet of paper to the class, and ask the students what they think the rules should be. What do you think of this method? Is it effective towards classroom management? Students should be allowed to give their input for some of the class rules. The teacher should have some rules preset, but should encourage the students to set some rules, with reason.
