Teachers can reach out to these families individually to gain a better understanding of their student’s needs, allowing the teacher to make plans to best support the student at school. The first communication can be sent by email, and then families can be provided with additional information at back-to-school night. It is important for the teacher to provide families with their contact information, in order to establish direct line of communication for the upcoming school year.
