She says it's no big deal and that she doesn't want them to make fun of her for tattling on them, but I feel like it's affecting her more than she lets on. Should I tell the school counselor? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) The student is clearly being affected by the group of students. In addition to passing on this information to the counselor, I would ensure that I make time for morning meeting to happen everyday to strengthen the classroom community and peer relationships. If said group of students do make fun of her, I would contact parents. The classroom is a safe space and bullying should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
