It wasn't extremely disruptive to the whole class but you could tell some students would notice them doing things. So, my question is, how do you deal with students who can't sit still in class? They're good students, but they just were so distracted. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) To support second graders who can't sit still, integrate movement breaks and hands-on activities into the classroom routine. Offering fidget tools and flexible seating options can help them focus while accommodating their need for movement. Encourage simple mindfulness exercises for self-regulation, and create a classroom environment that positively acknowledges and utilizes their energy.
