Case: Parent offended or not liking lessons
Kids need to understand that they must respect everyone regardless of their culture, but what if the parents don't agree with it? What do you do when a parent is mad about what you are teaching their kid and is threatening to get you in trouble? (This isn't a scenario I'm experiencing, I'm just curious about what to do when this happens)

I would go to the principal or VP about this. Having the backing of them will keep you in the clear. As long as they're okay with what you're teaching and it's in an unbiased manner, I don't think there is a reason to stop what you're teaching. You cannot make every parent happy, and you can't teach to the prejudice parent because that's not what's best for the class. Children should understand the world around them and the diversity of the the cultures that surround them. I agree with your point, children should respect all cultures and learn about them also.
