Case: Are there instances where you might consider inflating grades? Currently, our grade level is significantly lagging in language arts proficiency. The administration has instructed us to continue with the third-grade curriculum as planned. In this context, would you adjust your approach to enhance students' grades? Alternatively, would you advocate for teaching students at their current level of understanding, despite concerns about potential job security risks? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) The first question I would ask myself as a teacher is why are the students not doing so well? Are they not comprehending the topics they are learning? I would modify the curriculum to the needs of my students. I’m not saying we should make it easier for the students so they won’t feel but maybe look in to why the students are not understanding the curriculum they are being taught. |
