How can I best keep children engaged and focused during "down time" so they won't pick on each other? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would try to find the student that is the main person who is doing the bullying and speak to that student privately. If the problem continues I would give consequences to this student and be sure to inform the class they will receive the same punishment if I hear them bullying one of their classmates. It is important to stay firm on this rule because bullying has become a major issue for children around the country.I would have a "zero tolerance" policy that is established in the beginning of the year so this will not occur.
