Case: Kids forget putting names on assignments
How can I teach children to remember to put their identification (firstname and lastname) on their assignments before they turned them in?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I have a friend who is a teacher and he just had this issue with one of his students. The student's mother actually came up with a really interesting punishment for her child. She made her child write his name on a ream of paper before he could play with his friends on a saturday. Since then the student does not forget to put their name on their assignments. I think this could be adapted as a detention or extra homework activity; just having the student write their name repeatedly will get the point across. |

Comments: I don't think this is a good solution, it doesn't help prevent students from forgetting. It only delivers a punishment for those who forget. We all forget sometimes. |

Comments: I do not agree that this is the best approach to this problem. If a parent wanted to use this form of consequence for their child then so be it, but I would not use this in my classroom. |
