The first step that should be taken is to contact the school nurse to gain information on the most recent hearing/vision screening. A check of the student's permanent record file should also be done in order to find any past accommodations related to vision. In the classroom, the student should receive preferential seating. I think that he should first be checked in the school setting to see if the nurse thinks his sight is a bigger issue. All these steps are very productive to coming up with a valuable solution to his eye sight problem.
