  Case: Pretest Motivation
In order to completely assess a standard Mr. Miller feels that he must pre and post test every unit with the same exam. Unfortunately, his students have recently recognized this pattern of pre then post exams and begun to bubble in answers on his pretest answer documents at random. This behavior is preventing Mr. Miller from truly understanding how his students are learning. What should Mr. Miller do to ensure his students are putting forth their best effort on unit preassessments?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
If I were Mr. Miller, I would get the students to show all of their work and maybe put the page paragraph or page number by where they found their answer before submitting in their bubble sheets. This will help Mr. Miller with the students who just try t bubble anything. Also, I would offer incentives for the students who did a great job of following directions, and taking their time on the assessment.

Comments: This is a good idea that would help the teacher to know that their class is doing what they are supposed to be doing. I also think incentives are great motivators for students, and that praising students who are doing a good job usually motivates the other students to follow the correct behavior.
