  Case: Math Pretest
Mrs. Granger gives a pretest before each math unit. What do you do if all students pass the pretest? Do you give the post test still?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
If you give a pretest and all students in the classroom show mastery of the material, then you move on. There is no reason to spend excessive time on something the kids already know. I am not a math teacher, but what I would do is sprinkle it in as we move on just to make sure they don't forget the concept.

Comments: Yes, this solution would work. I do the same in my math class. It is important to continue spiraling through material that you have already taught so the students can remember it.

Comments: I agree...no need for the posttest, but spiraling the material is very important.

Comments: I would. It use this solution, the students don't know all there is to know about each unit so spending more time to challenge them and make them extend their thinking is always better.
