Case: Classroom Motivation
Mr. Jean has some gifted students in his class. These gifted students, however, are not motivated. How can Mr. Jean motivate these gifted learners?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Maybe these gifted students need to be motivated with enrichment practices. Give them a performance tasks, a group project to present to the class, integrate an assignment with another concept they are learning in another class, etc. Sometimes the best way to motivate gifted students is by challenging them. Sometimes it's simply just because they are bored. |

Comments: I agree that the students are most likely just bored. These tasks may help with the boredom, although it would probable be better if some other arrangements could be made for them permanently, such as attending a gifted class one day a week. |

Comments: This is a great idea. I think by assigning them a group project or activity to present to the class, they would get excited and feel like it is a challenge they need to succeed in. I don't see anything wrong with giving these students additional assignments that go along with the lesson if it keeps them busy, challenged, and motivated. |
