  Case: Reading Unit
In a first grade unit students are required to read the Wizard Of Oz. What are some strategies to help teach first grade students this very hard vocabulary?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I always struggled with vocabulary growing up. I had one teacher who strongly encouraged me to try to visualize the vocabulary. She began to pull pictures or video clips for me to see the vocabulary word put in action. I am a very visual learner and then helped me tremendously on vocabulary. The Wizard of Oz is such a great visual piece. Hopefully this will help.

Comments: Visualization is a great way for learners to understand vocabulary. It would be important for English Language Learners to be provided with the picture or video clip to learn the word. The solution would be very beneficial to learn the vocabulary for the Wizard of Oz.

Comments: This is a really good idea. Many students are visual learners and I think this would be helpful to a ton of kids. The Wizard of Oz is definitely a visual book so this could be a fun way to help students to learn and understand the new vocabulary.
