  Case: Gifted Students
In a first grade classroom, Mrs. Jones, has 5 gifted students. These students already know everything you put in front of them. How do you challenge them and assess them?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would challenge them by allowing them to create their own lesson plan for a 3 days. The lessons plans must include assignments that will be given and how they will be assessed. This will challenge students because they will have to prepare lessons and how they will teach the content. Students will be given class time to work on this assignment. This will also allow students to see how it is being a teacher.

Comments: Great idea. I plan to incorporate this in my classroom as I have all gifted and advanced students, and it's hard to keep them all engaged.

Comments: I like this solution and would use it if I were in the same situation. I think it is a very productive idea to have the students take responsibility for their own lesson plan while knowing the guidelines they must include. This challenges them to think productively on what they want to learn that the teacher will accept. If approved, they can even present their lesson plans to the class.

Comments: First graders cannot think about a lesson plans. This solution might be effective for higher grades , but not first graders.
