She has a boy in her classroom who's behavior fluctuates, however majority of the time the behavior is negative to himself, teacher, and peers. When he gets into trouble and is asked to leave the room he walks so slow barely even taking a step. The parents have been notified and administration involved. However the child continues to have bad behavior and point scissors at his neck and say I am going to die, etc. The counselors have been involved along with the parent notification and other teachers trying to assist. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) The teacher should try to build a relationship with the student. I would also try to set up a meeting with the parents and the student to see what is going on. Also, place the student on a behavior plan which rewards daily. This may help.
