She feels as though there are too many assessments required of the students. So far this year, the school has given 5 assessments. The students are tired of testing and are not motivated to do their best. What should Mrs. Conley do? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Mrs. Conley should make sure that her bias against the tests doesn't filter down to the kids. If they know you don't like it they will be less inclined to want to do their best. Focus on the instruction given and student motivation to learn! Allow times in your classroom for movement and active engagement. It is possibly the the students are tired of sitting in class all day long and feel sad. They probably don't want to take tests after sitting in class.
