Case: Wads of wet paper!?!
There is a issue of students wadding up wet paper towels and throwing them onto the ceiling. The principal has removed the paper towels and replaced them with air dryers, however, now the student(s) are using toilet paper. You suspect that it could be one of your more difficult students, but have no proof other than the smirking and laughing when they return from using the restroom. How would you handle the situation to prove/disprove your theory?

I would think this would be more of an administration's issue to solve than yours. Of course if you have proof that it is your student at some point, let the administrator know. Otherwise, let them handle it! |

| Comments: If this is a shared bathroom this might be the most helpful thing. The log might cause a child to get blamed that didn't necessarily do it if all teachers do not utilize the log. |

| Comments: In the statement, it mentions that administration is aware. As a teacher if I thought it was one of my student's I would want to teach the student the difference between correct and incorrect bathroom usage. I would create a bathroom log, in hopes that the issue would get resolved on its own, without a student being punished for it. |

Comments: This solution is not useful because it is unprofessional to place the responsibility on another school department.
It’s your duty as a teacher to solve issues in the classroom. |

| Comments: I disagree a little because I think that it is still the teacher responsibility to make sure their students are aware of the bathroom rules and have consequences from their teacher if they do not follow bathroom procedures. |
