  Case: SPED assessments
A kindergarten teacher has a student who has extreme difficulty writing due to poor fine motor skills and expressing herself verbally. This student is being served through OT and speech. Most of the kindergarten assessment require a verbal response. How can this teacher assess this student in the most effective way?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
In middle school we use keyboards for students who have extreme difficulty writing. You may want to try this approach to see if it helps the student. Even though the assessment requires a verbal response, you may find that the student is better able to express herself through typing. This would at least show progress with the student.

Comments: I wouldn't do this only because it still doesn't help the child verbally and pass the standards that the teacher is trying to teach.
