  Case: Code of Ethics...really?
Mr. John was interviewed by three principals for his current job. While in the interview he was questioned about what he would do if a female student wanted an inappropriate relationship. Mr. John was troubled with this because the principal asking the question was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a student before he became principal. What should Mr. John's answer have been?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
The advance should be reported to the counselor and grade level assistant principal.

Comments: My question is why was that principle in that job if he had had an inappropriate relationship with a child. That situation shouldn't even happen!

Comments: I'm not sure I would agree with your solution. If your the one getting interviewed, I'm not sure you would want to involve any other employees within the school you are trying to get a job at.

Comments: This isn't talking about a current advance between student and principal - it's a what-if question, and the interviewee happens to know and be uncomfortable with that element of the principal's PAST.

Comments: While that's what should be done, they probably don't have all the facts to report the incident immediately. He's also in an interview and needs to come up with an appropriate answer to the question.

Comments: This is the worst response because it does not offer a solution to the topic. The teacher should respond the question honestly, he is not there to question the principal's lack of morals.

Comments: I just think that he needs to be reminded of the code of ethics in this scenario he was given, nothing actually happened and therefore there is no advance to make.
