  Case: Broken Arm
Ms. Sally has a student who has come to class with a broken arm on the day of their unit test. Because the arm that the student has broken is also the hand that he uses to write, it will be impossible for him to write his answers on his test. The grades for the unit test must be submitted that day, so there is no possibility for him to make the test up on another day. Ms. Sally can not use class time to personally administer the test to this student because must monitor the rest of the class while they take their test. What is Ms. Sally to do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Ms. Sally could ask the student to take the test with their other hand the best way that they could. If that does not work, she could get another student to assist.

Comments: If I were in this situation, I would do this but instead of another student maybe the teacher or a teacher aide because they may be better equip to assist the student.

Comments: I think that is a possible solution assuming its multiple choice, possibly another teacher or typing answers instead too?

Comments: I don't agree with this. The writing probably won't be legible. If the other student helps them, this leaves room for cheating.

Comments: Having another student assist can cause more issues, like distracting the other students, but the student should be able to take the test with their other hand.

Comments: if it is a multiple choice test have them use the other hand! No big deal.

Comments: I disagree with this solution. Writing with his other hand would be very difficult for the student and may not be legible when it comes time to grade the test.

Comments: This solution is the least useful because having another student assist could result in an inaccurate grade based on the student who is doing the writing for the student who has the broken arm. If the student writing takes it upon themselves to answer what they thing is correct then that would not be an accurate testing of the student with the broken arm.

Comments: I don't find this solution to be fair to the injured student. They deserve accommodations and an equal opportunity to succeed as the other students. Personally, I doubt I could even do a good job writing my name with my non dominant hand, let alone taking a test.
