You are staying after school hours to do some last minute grading and inputting grades into the system. A parent enters your room and demands to speak to you about their child's recent test grade of a "c". The parent claims that this test score will lower their child's current grade standing of an "A" to a "B" and this is unacceptable. After a long conversation that parent requests that you change their child's grade. What would you do in this situation? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Also this solution didn't show any partnership with the parent so this relationship will probably be strained in the future. I believe the teacher should explain to the parents why their child received the grade they did in this situation. I think this would make the parent feel attacked. I would not do this. Also, the school administrator would only make matters worse because they would be coming into a situation to mediate that they have no idea what is going on.
