When given the formative math assessment, the student failed. He had to read the word problems and he didn't know the words. Should the student be penalized for not knowing the math vocabulary? Or should the teacher read the test to him? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I feel that the teacher should read to the student and work with them, especially knowing they are capable of doing the work.
