However, it is not required in kindergarten and I do not want them to get burnt out on AR tests before they get to grade in which it was required. How can I motivate students to take AR but not have them get burntout on it? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) In my opinion, many students get tired of AR because they read only for the points and not for meaning. Because of this, students get bored and resentful toward reading. For that reason, I would suggest encouraging students to read for the pleasure of reading and not necessarily on the points associated with the program.
