  Case: Asthma in PE
Coach Lowe has several students that have asthma and often forget their asthma pump when they come to class. She has to record scores for every student for the Fitnessgram assessment. One of the tests the students must complete is the Pacer Test which measures the student's cardiovascular endurance. Three students forgot their pump on the day of the assessment. What can she do to accurately measure their cardiovascular endurance while still using the Pacer Test?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I feel she should get a pump that can remain in class.

The suggested solution is relevant to the case Yes
The suggested solution is reasonable (easy) for the teacher to implement No
The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue Yes
The suggested solution is original Yes
Comments: Although that is a good idea, teachers are not allowed to keep things like that in a classroom unless instructed by a professional, but that is usually not the case. Medical supplies, such as inhalers, have to be either with the student or with the school nurse.

Comments: The students have their own inhalers and it is probably not safe for them to be using inhalers other than their own.

Comments: Children can not share pumps and it is a little more involved to have medications available at the school for each child that may need them.

Comments: Not sanitary. Kids with asthma can have different levels and issues within it, so this isn't a good solution.

Comments: This can be costly for the parents to have to buy 2 inhalers so it might not always work.
