Case: Writing for college and career
Mr. Kitchens, a high school English teacher, has a dilemma with his second period students showing little motivation in developing and improving their writing ideas and organization skills. This eleventh grade group has poor grammar and conventional skills. Additionally, in a technology driven world and weak skills, the insufficient engagement in the writing process results in half of the class failing the summative essay exams which on is required for high school graduation.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Mr. Kitchen may want to try letting his second period class watch Dangerous Minds (starring Michelle Pfeiffer). This is a great movie that students will enjoy while being motivated to do well in school and put forth more effort in your classroom. |

Comments: I do not think watching a movie will motivate students to write essays. |

Comments: I would never do this! This is wrong! The students will view this as free time and little significant gain can be made from spending 2 hours watching a movie. The teacher should teach not rely on hollywood. |
