Case: Resources Ms. Bradley teaches in an urban, inner-city school, where there is a lack of resources. She is a 7th grade Science teacher and her students are struggling with the content. She has given them 11 vocabulary words for the unit and they are still struggling with knowing what they are and how to apply the concepts. Last year she had Escience, which played a huge role in helping the students with their science vocabulary. The school decided not to buy it this year, so she is trying to find other resources to help, but is coming up short with resources. What resources should she use to help her vocabulary strategies and to better equip them for their vocabulary assessments? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Ms. Bradley should try to get with the reading and language arts teachers to see what strategies they use in their classrooms that would be helpful in science. Ms. Bradley could also write a grant for her school to get the program back. |
