Case: You are a member of a car pool with two other teachers
You are a member of a car pool with two other teachers. The daily conversation usually includes regular school talk, rumors, and gossip concerning other administrators and teachers. What would you do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
In order to keep myself out of trouble I would try to change the subject if they continued I would find myself another ride and inform an administrator. I would not want to get myself into any situations where I could get in trouble. |

| Comments: While this is relevant it is not the best way to handle the situation. The focus is the teacher doesn't want to get into trouble, but doesn't answer the concern about what is being said about others. |

| Comments: I agree with this because you don't want to abruptly remove yourself from the carpool. Changing the subject or addressing the ethics issue about it is a great way to try and smooth the situation over. |

Comments: I vote this solution as the least useful because I don’t think it would be effective to bring administrators into this.
Although the other teachers are practicing bad behavior and work ethic, they are doing it off of school grounds, and telling admin may seem a little petty.
Just remove yourself from the situation. |
