Case: Chaperones brings a cooler of beer and wine on the bus
During an over-night field trip with students, one of the chaperones brings a cooler of beer and wine on the bus to share after the students go to bed. After the students are put in their rooms, chaperones start consuming the alcoholic beverages before the final student bed check is made. What would you do?

I would inform an administrator and have them confront the parents. I would not want to make myself legally responsible if anything were to happen and I knew and didn't tell. |

| Comments: I do agree with making sure the administration is kept in the loop, however, I would also be involved, making sure I talked to the parents as soon as I knew a cooler with alcohol beverages was present. |

| Comments: I would not do this. Waiting for the principal to arrive and address the situation might not be an option. Even though the situation would put you in an awkward position you would need to deal with it and keep it under control. |

| Comments: I think this solution is the least useful because it does not offer the advice of stopping the parents from drinking which could cause more problems if a student sees this or if something arises and they need responsible adults and everyone has been drinking. |
