  Case: Bullies in the playground
A parent comes in after school and states that their child is being continually bullied in the playground.
Parent: "I've come away from work early to deal with this problem. You wouldn't know because this happens during playtime and there is never a teacher on duty. It is always happening, the school does nothing about it and the child is too scared to come to school."
Continue this scenario to resolve the issue.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Let the parent know that you are sorry this has not been caught or brought to the attention of an adult, and tell the parent you will have your eyes out for these particular students. However, tell the parent to tell his or her child to bring it to your attention when it happens. Tell the parent that the bully will not know that his or her child tattled.

Comments: I do agree with your solution. The problem should be looked at to see who exactly is causing the bullying. Also, I would have the parent talk to their child and tell them it is important to notify teachers when it happens but I wouldn't use the word "tattle" because that alone would make the student more hesitant.

Comments: I don't like the idea of having the parent tell the kid to tell the teacher when the other student is bullying them. If the child wants to go to the teacher, he will tell them in time. It takes a little while to face your bully and feel okay with telling someone about what's going on.
