It's important to first know where this behavior is coming from. Does she not like the work she has done? Or is she unorganized? A quick look inside her backpack could answer that quickly. Also, having a folder/binder for everything in your class can be helpful, she will just need to learn how to use it effectively. You may need to focus on her for a few days during the end of class, ensuring that she is placing the work in her folder instead of simply in her backpack.
