Case: Bullying
One little girl in my class suffers from fetal alcohol syndrome. She is constantly being bullied because she looks and acts different from the other kids. What are some ways to help the other students understand, yes, she might be different, but thats no reason to bully her?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
This is where good social skills are key. Have a project on this specific syndrome, or allow students to pick their own syndrome. This will allow students to know that people are different and may allow them to know why people are different. What causes the differences, etc. |
