Case: Describe a time when a lesson was not going well. What did you do about it?
If you are asked this question in a job interview for a teaching position: What are some things you should avoid when responding to this question? What might be some important points to stress that would get the interviewer's attention? How would you respond to this question?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
When a lesson is not going well, I go to my back up plan or into the activity. Depending on my students, I would ask about what kind of activities would make this lesson easier to understand. |

Comments: I personally would not do this, I would come up with an alternative assignment for the students, not leave it up to the students. |

Comments: If I were in this situation, I would not use this solution because it does not clearly answer the question, and the interviewer may feel that you are unprepared or even hiding something. |

Comments: It is important to have a backup plan, but just saying back up is a vague description and does not offer much insight on what was learned. |
