Case: Chaperones brings a cooler of beer and wine on the bus
During an over-night field trip with students, one of the chaperones brings a cooler of beer and wine on the bus to share after the students go to bed. After the students are put in their rooms, chaperones start consuming the alcoholic beverages before the final student bed check is made. What would you do?

I do not see how the person even considered this act was appropriate.The whole point of being a chaperon is to assist the teacher in monitoring, and managing the children. How can you keep an eye on children when you are inebriated. First of all the person should be confronted and told why they should not bring the alcohol on the bus, If they get out of hand the next thing that should be done is contact the principal. |

| Comments: I think this solution is the best because it involves stopping the act before it gets out of hand but also involves letting the administration of the occurrence so they may handle it further if the need arises. |
